Day by day' by Udai, a filmmaker and photographer from the creative collective YouthQuake based in Tokyo. As the title suggests, the publication features Udai’s daily photographs from the past few years showcasing everyday life in Tokyo as well as various places around the world highlighting people he has met and memories he has created. Spanning 100 pages, it provides a glimpse into Udai’s life.
“Over the past few years, I have been cautious about oversharing my daily life, photos, and possessions on Instagram and social media. I feel that excessive exposure is not healthy. In this era, everyone's whereabouts and activities are recorded through Instagram photos, and I believe such commodification is not right. Instead, I want people to understand what I do each day through this book.”
